The second season of Fear the Walking Dead, an American horror drama television series on AMC, premiered on April 10, 2016. The season is divided into a seven-episode first half and an eight-episode second half, with the first seven concluding on May 22, 2016; the second half premiered on August 21, 2016 and concluded on October 2, 2016, completing a total of fifteen episodes. The series is a spin-off and prequel series to The Walking Dead,[1] which is based on the comic book series of the same name by Robert Kirkman, Tony Moore and Charlie Adlard.

The season follows a dysfunctional, blended family consisting of Madison Clark (Kim Dickens), her fiancé Travis Manawa (Cliff Curtis), her daughter Alicia (Alycia Debnam-Carey), her drug-addicted son Nick (Frank Dillane) and Travis’ son Chris (Lorenzo James Henrie) from a previous marriage. As the zombie apocalypse begins, their group includes Victor Strand (Colman Domingo), a cunning and mysterious con man, Daniel Salazar (Ruben Blades) and his daughter Ofelia (Mercedes Mason). This season follows the group as they escape California by sea, attempting to reach Mexico.

La segunda temporada de The Walking Dead, una serie de televisión estadounidense de terror postapocalíptico de la cadena AMC, se estrenó el 16 de octubre de 2011 y concluyó el 18 de marzo de 2012, constando de 13 episodios[1][2] Desarrollada para televisión por Frank Darabont, la serie está basada en la serie homónima de cómics de Robert Kirkman, Tony Moore y Charlie Adlard. La producción ejecutiva corrió a cargo de Darabont, Kirkman, Glen Mazzara, David Alpert y Gale Anne Hurd, y Mazzara asumió el papel de showrunner tras la salida de Darabont de la serie.

La temporada fue bien recibida por la crítica. Ganó el premio a la mejor presentación televisiva en la 38ª edición de los Saturn Awards[3] y el premio al mejor maquillaje protésico para una serie, miniserie, película o especial en la 64ª edición de los Primetime Creative Arts Emmy Awards[4]. El final de temporada fue visto por 9 millones de espectadores, convirtiéndose en el episodio de mayor audiencia de la serie hasta ese momento y en el más visto de una serie original de AMC en la historia, hasta el estreno de la tercera temporada de la serie, que fue visto por 10,9 millones de espectadores[5].

The Walking Dead: Season 2

After bringing back Rick Grimes in the first teaser, a new trailer for season 11 of The Walking Dead gives us a glimpse of the group of villains they will have to defeat this time, the ‘Reapers’. Of them all, the one that stands out the most is that figure with a red and white mask that stalks Daryl (Norman Reedus) among the trees. Next to him is the survivor’s dog, who disappeared at the end of the tenth installment.

The teaser gives many other clues about what will happen in the first eight episodes of season 11 of The Walking Dead, which marks the beginning of the end of the famous adaptation of Robert Kirkman’s comics. We will meet the main characters again right after where things left off in the previous installment. In addition to the conflict with the ‘Reapers’, one of the big plots will be the relationship between Negan (Jeffrey Dean Morgan) and Maggie (Lauren Cohan).

As already announced and seen in the trailer, the arrival of Mercer will mark the denouement of the zombie fiction.  Played by Michael James Shaw, Mercer is the military leader of the Commonwealth, the advanced community that could mean the solution to all the protagonists’ problems and the return to a society more similar to the one before the apocalypse.
